Capping Activity and Targets
MCCP activities can be capped to prevent users from exceeding predetermined limits on the number of product activities, channel activities, and target interactions in a cycle. Once users reach the maximum number of activities for the product, channel, or target, additional activities are not counted towards their attainment. This helps ensure end users focus on high-quality interactions, and prevents overreliance on certain channels or excessive activity for a single product, channel, or target.

Configuring Capping Activity and Targets for

To configure this feature:
-
Ensure Configuring Multichannel Cycle Plans is complete.
-
Navigate to Business Admin > Objects > mc_cycle_plan__v.
-
Populate maximum fields on the appropriate MCCP records to determine when activities or interactions are capped. Caps may be set for a channel, a target, a product, or for a combination:
- To cap channel activities, populate the channel_activity_max__v field on an mc_cycle_plan_channel__v record. The value in this field represents the maximum number of activities a user can earn for channel attainment against the target.
- To cap target interactions, populate the channel_interaction_max__v on an mc_cycle_plan_target__v record. The value in this field is the maximum number of interactions a user can earn for a target, across all channels in the cycle plan.
When capping target interactions, the channel_interaction_goal__v field must also be populated on the mc_cycle_plan_target__v record.
- To cap product activity, populate the product_activity_max__v field on an mc_cycle_plan_product__v record. The value in this field is the maximum number of product activities allowed toward product attainment for the particular product.
Using Capping Activity and Targets as

When end users reach the cap for a channel, product, or target, additional activities are not counted towards their attainment for the cycle. For example, if the email channel is capped at three, any additional emails sent to MCCP targets are not counted.
