To configure this feature:

1. Ensure the following features are configured:

   • Configuring Events Management
   • Event Business Rules Overview – Including any of the appropriate business rule types:
   • Creating Event Attendance Rules
   • Creating Expense Limit Rules
   • Creating Event Speaker Rules
   • Creating Required Event Material Rules
2. Navigate to Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets.
3. Select the appropriate permission set.
4. Select the Objects tab.

5. Grant the following permissions:

   Object	Object Permission	Object Types	Fields	Field Permission
   em_business_rule__v	CRED	All appropriate object types	comment_type__v comment_reason__v	Edit
   em_event_override__v	CRED	n/a	comment_reason__v	Edit

6. Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Objects > em_event_business_rule__v > Fields > comment_reason__v.
7. Add all appropriate comment reasons as values to the picklist.

To configure this feature:

To configure comment reasons for event business rules:

1. Edit the appropriate em_event_business_rule__v record.

   The rule must have a warning_type__v of soft_warning__v.

2. Ensure the comment_required__v field is one of the following values:

   • required__v – The end user is required to select a reason before dismissing the warning
   • optional__v – The end user may select a reason, but is not required to before dismissing the warning
3. Select picklist__v for the comment_type__v field.
4. Select Save.

When end users execute an event business rule that triggers a soft warning violation, the soft warning modal displays with a Comment reason picklist.

End users can then select a reason from one of the defined picklist values before continuing. If the comment_required__v field of the business rule is set to required__v, users are required to select a reason from the picklist before continuing.
