Testing Veeva Engage in Sandboxes
Business admins can test Veeva Engage features in a sandbox Vault, including joining Engage meetings, by downloading one of the following Veeva Engage mobile apps, or by accessing the Engage Web Client:
- Veeva Engage Android app in Google Play
- Veeva Engage iOS app in Apple App Store
- Windows 7+ HCP and Speaker app for desktop/laptop
This enables business admins to test new Engage features and review data in a separate environment that does not affect the corresponding production Vault.
Business admins can test Engage meetings in sandboxes while being signed in or while being signed out of Veeva Engage.
You can only register for push applications for one Veeva application per device. If you have Vault CRM, Engage, and Engage Connect installed on the same device, you receive push notifications for whichever app you are logged in to and most recently opened. When testing push notifications, you must use two separate devices, one for Engage Connect or Vault CRM and the other for the Engage app.
Who can use this feature?
- Android, iPad, iPhone, Web users
- Users require an Engage license
- Business Admin Users
Testing Without Signing in as

To test Veeva Engage in sandboxes without signing in:
- Select the appropriate Engage meeting link from the meeting invitation to display the Meeting Registration screen.
- Enter the appropriate First Name and Last Name.
- Select Join Meeting.
Testing on mobile devices requires the Veeva Engage app. If the business admin selects an Engage meeting link in CRM and does not have the app installed, a landing page prompts them to install the app.
Testing functionality on the Engage Speaker App on Windows requires joining via a sandbox meeting link and installing the app. A landing page prompts users to install and open the app.
Testing While Signed into Veeva Engage as

To test Veeva Engage while signed in, select the appropriate Engage meeting link from the sandbox CRM Vault to either open the app or launch the web client and join the meeting.
Business admins cannot be signed into Veeva Engage production on the mobile app when testing sandbox meeting links. If business admins select a sandbox Engage meeting link while signed into Veeva Engage production, a message displays informing them they must sign into the app with a sandbox email address.
If business admins have not already done so, they must sign up for Veeva Engage sandbox on the appropriate platform using one of the two following processes.
Signing Up and Signing In on the Mobile App
To sign up for testing sandbox Engage features on the mobile app:
- Install the appropriate Engage app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Launch the app.
- Select Sign Up or Sign In.
- Enter the appropriate email address and add .app-sbx to the end. For example, if the email address is your.name@mail.com, enter your.name@mail.com.app-sbx for the email address.
- Select Continue.
- Navigate to the entered email address’s inbox to retrieve the 6-digit verification code. This email will have a subject line of Veeva Engage Email Verification and a sender of Veeva Engage (SANDBOX).
- Navigate back to the Engage app.
- Enter the 6-digit verification code and select Verify. If the entered email address was previously signed up for Engage, the app’s Home tab displays.
- Enter the appropriate First Name and Last Name. This step is only required when first signing up for Engage.
- Select Create Account. This step is only required when first signing up for Engage. Once the account is created, the app’s Home tab displays.
If .app-sbx is not added to the end of the email address, the user will be signed into the production environment and will not be able to test sandbox Engage links.
Signing up and Signing in on the Web Client
To sign up for testing sandbox Engage features on the Engage Web Client:
- Navigate to https://sandbox.veevaengage.com.
- Select Sign Up or Sign In.
- Enter the appropriate email address.
- Select Continue.
- Open a new tab.
- Navigate to the entered email address’s inbox to retrieve the 6-digit verification code. This email will have a subject line of Veeva Engage Email Verification and a sender of Veeva Engage (SANDBOX).
- Navigate back to the Engage Web Client.
Unlike signing up on the mobile app, do not add .app-sbx to the end of the email address.
Checking the Environment of Veeva Engage
The Veeva Engage sandbox environment has an identical UI to the production environment. Business admins can check the current environment via one of the following methods:
- On the mobile app, navigate to the bottom of the Me tab. If the environment is a sandbox, it displays sandbox.veevaengage.com beneath the version number.
- On the web client, if the environment is a sandbox, the URL displays sandbox.veevaengage.com
