Insight Quality Agent for Medical Insights
The AI-powered Insight Quality Agent provides real-time feedback to help users submit complete, actionable Medical Insights—turning field observations into reliable data for stronger business intelligence. The agent intelligently checks users' entries in the Description field on Medical Insights against configurable quality and completeness rules, and suggests specific improvements before submission.

Configuring Medical Insight Quality for
To configure this feature, ensure Configuring the Insight Quality Agent is complete.
Using the Insight Quality Agent as
End Users can view quality guidelines and run quality checks on insights directly within a Medical Insights record.
To view quality guidelines, navigate to a Medical Insight record and access the section containing a Description field.
A panel displays on the right side of the screen with two tabs:
- Guidelines
- Quality
The Guidelines tab displays by default. This tab allows users to review the defined guidelines for creating a high-quality insight.
These guidelines are based on the Veeva-provided or custom quality rules defined for the Insight Quality Agent.
The Quality tab displays the results of a quality check. If the user selects the Quality tab prior to running a quality check, the tab displays a button to run the quality check.
To run a quality check:

Enter text in the Description field.

Select the Run Quality Check button from the side panel or the top of the screen.
A No Internet message displays if the user attempts to run the quality check while disconnected from the internet.
Users can select Cancel to stop the agent from processing the request.
When the agent’s quality check is complete, the Quality tab displays the results.
For each defined guideline, the Insight Quality Agent provides a response in the Quality tab that indicates how well the insight meets the guidelines. Responses are as follows:
- Strong - No issues found
- Needs improvement - Includes a response from the agent with instructions for improving the insight
- Missing - Includes a response from the agent detailing what information is missing
Users can review the feedback in the Quality tab and refine their medical insights accordingly.
The Insight Quality Agent does not prevent the user from saving or submitting an insight, regardless of the response.
To run the quality check again, edit the Medical Insight and then select the Run Quality Check button. The request is only processed if the user made changes to the Medical Insight. The entire insight is reevaluated.
If all rules result in a response of strong, a No quality issues found message displays in the tab, along with a green checkmark.
Users can continue to save or submit the Medical Insight as usual.
