Receiving Email Notifications for Updates to Custom Presentations
When content creators update or remove slides in CLM presentations managed in PromoMats/MedComms, those changes can affect the custom presentations created by Vault CRM end users. To ensure users are always aware of changes to their custom content, they automatically receive an email notification summarizing changes after the CLM integration between PromoMats/MedComms and Vault CRM runs.

Configuring Email Notifications for Updates to Custom Presentations for
To configure this feature:
- Ensure Using Custom Presentations is configured.
- Navigate to Custom Settings > Multichannel Settings.
- Select Manage.
- Select Edit.
- Populate the custom_presentation_management__v setting with the value 1.
- Populate the reply_to_for_custom_clm_changes__v setting with a valid email address. This email address is used as the Reply To email address for the notification emails sent to end users.
The reply_to_for_custom_clm_changes__v setting can only be used for Global Multichannel Settings and is ignored in profile specific settings. See Veeva Settings for more information about global and profile specific settings.
To configure this feature:
- Navigate to Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets.
- Select the appropriate permission set.
- Navigate to Objects > user__sys.
- Grant Read field permission to the following fields:
- name__v
- email__sys
- language_code__v
- locale_code__v
Customizing the Notification Email as
Business admins can customize the text for the notification email.
The notification email is sent from admin@veeva-vcrm.com and contains the subject “Slides Used in One or More of Your Custom Presentations Have Changed.” The email includes a table with the following information for each update:
- Name of the affected custom presentation
- Description of the key message for the affected slide
- Display order of the affected slide
- Update or Removal
- Name of the source presentation
The table displays a maximum of 200 updates. If there are more than 200 updates in a single sync, the end user receives an additional email for the remaining updates.
To customize the email:
- Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Message Catalog > Core 2.
- Edit the following Vault Messages. See Managing Vault Messages and Veeva Messages for more information.

Receiving Email Notifications for Updates to Custom Presentations as
End users receive an email notification when slides in their custom presentations are updated or removed during an incremental sync from PromoMats/MedComms to Vault CRM in the CLM Administration Console. End users receive one summary email for each CLM sync from PromoMats/MedComms with updates. All user replies to the email are sent to the email address entered in the Reply-To for Custom CLM Changes Multichannel Setting.
Email notifications are not sent for force full refreshes, even if slides in custom presentations are updated. Admins should notify users before performing a force full refresh.
