Configuring Send to Fax
The main components that comprise the feature are:
Fax Template
Fax templates are Microsoft Word documents used to define the layout, content, and dynamic tokens for faxes.
Fax Number (fax_number__v)
The fax number used to send faxes.
Multichannel Consent Records (multichannel_consent__v)
Consent records store an account's opt-in or opt-out status for receiving communications using the Fax channel.
Sent Fax Records (sent_fax__v)
A Sent Fax record is created for each recipient every time a user sends a fax. This object captures a complete snapshot of the transaction, including the recipient, the template version used, resolved token values, the transmitted version, and the delivery status.
Enterprise Fax Engine
Vault CRM’s fax provider processes and sends all fax communications.
Configuring Send to Fax for
To configure this feature:

Ensure configuration of Application Profiles is complete.

Navigate to Admin > Users & Groups > Configuration.

Select the appropriate Permission Set.

Select the Objects tab.
- Grant the following permissions:

- Select the Fax Admin check box on the User record for the appropriate users.
- Navigate to the Application tab.
- Select Application Configuration.
- Grant access to the Fax Administration page.

Ensure fax admins are assigned to the Content Administrator role for Dynamic Word Template documents via Dynamic Access Control. See About Dynamic Access Control for Documents for more information.

Ensure fax admins have Create Document Permission for the Dynamic Word Template document type. See How to Edit Document Types for more information.
- Navigate to Business Admin > Objects > VMobile Object Configurations.
- Enable the following iPad VMOCs:
- Documents (External ID - documents__v-ipad__v-2)
Where Clause - WHERE TONAME(type__v) = 'dynamic_word_template__v' AND TONAME(lifecycle__v) = 'crm_content_lifecycle__v' AND TONAME(status__v) CONTAINS ('approved__v', 'staged__v')
Enable Enhanced Sync – Yes
Document Query Modifier – All Versions
Application Profile – The Application Profile created for fax admins

To configure this feature:

Ensure Configuring Consent Capture is complete.

Navigate to Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets.

Select the appropriate Permission Set.

Select the Objects tab.

- Grant Execute permission for the Send Fax object action permission on the Account object.
- Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Objects > Account > Object Types > Actions.
- Enable the Send to Fax action for the appropriate object types.
- Navigate to Admin > Settings > Language and Regional Settings.
- Select the Enable multilingual document handling checkbox.
- Ensure end users are assigned to the Media Consumer role for Dynamic Word Template documents via Dynamic Access Control. See About Dynamic Access Control for Documents for more information.

Navigate to Business Admin > Objects > Veeva Settings > Global Veeva Settings.

Set the Sync Configuration Mode to 1 to enable multiple VMobile Object Configurations per object.
- Navigate to Business Admin > Objects > VMobile Object Configurations.

Enable the following iPad VMOCs:
- Documents (External ID - documents-ipad__v-3)
- Sent Fax
- Fax Number
- Fax Settings
